A note from our counselors: Parents, we thank you for your support since we began Extended Online Learning. We recognize it's not an easy adjustment.
On March 30th, we began a series of Coffee with Counselors to offer our support for parents and try to answer any questions you may have about supporting your students' learning at home.
This link is a Power Point with some advice based on what we're experiencing with students thusfar. You may be doing all of this already. If so, pat yourself on the back! Hopefully there will be at least one idea that could work for you and your family. We welcome your sharing ideas as we navigate this period together.
Please let us or Ms. Williams know if you need anything. And, encourage your student to do the same.
Our next Coffee with Counselors will be April 15th at 8am - please watch your email for the link to join us!
Free Food Pick Up Locations for Children and How to Donate
With the announcement of school closures through May 15, we want to inform you of food access options in every county where our students reside during these unprecedented times. Meals are free for all children 18 and under who reside in that county, regardless of where you attend school.
Please check the link to your county for locations and times. (List of links here.)
If you're fortunate enough to not have to worry about food and wish to help your neighbors, you can donate to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
Information shared via PowerPoint during the Lottery on March 19th can be downloaded here.
Ready for Online Learning? Students received an email sharing our expectations and what they should anticipate when we start class on Thursday morning at 8:30am. A copy of the email is available for download here. (Updated 3/18/2020)
