Technology Device Information

  • LSA is a 1:1 technology device school.

  • Students may bring their own Lenovo Chromebook (9th & 10th grade) or iPad (11th & 12th grade) to school. Other computers or tablets are not acceptable.

  • Chromebooks may be purchased through our technology partner, FireFly Computers, at the following link:  

  • Chromebooks and iPads will be available for lease from the school for $125.00 (annual usage fee of $25, plus a refundable deposit of $100 if no damages are incurred).

  • Technology Acceptable Use Policy, that both parents and students are required to sign, is outlined in the Student & Parent Handbook and available online.

Parent/Guardian rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA.)


As a parent or legal guardian of a student enrolled in a North Carolina public school, you have the right to:

  • view your child’s educational records

  • seek to amend inaccurate educational records

  • explicitly consent (in writing) before the school releases certain information about your child

  • file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education if you believe your child’s rights under FERPA have been violated

  • receive prior notice before the school releases information that can be identified as your student’s

  • opt-out of specific information releases
